Jai Dee Posted October 3, 2006 Share Posted October 3, 2006 Evacuation drills being practiced in landslide/flood-risk areas in Trang The officials in Trang Province are preparing evacuation drills for people who reside in areas where landslides and flash floods can likely occur. The Office of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation and the officials in Yan Ta Khao District are organizing evacuation drills by simulating landslide and flash flood incidents in the villages. If the natural disasters occur, the informed authority will dispatch administrative officers as well as the officers from the Office of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation to the affected areas. They will help move the injured people to safe places where hospital personnel can look after them. The drills will also enable people to be prepared and understand the evacuation plan.
