Hi all

I have just bought the DC 70 Kubota and my my fuel costs are running at around 150bt per Rai, is this proving to be correct or is the machine being run to hard.

Also what is the correct price to be charging, my wife says 600bt in Buriram area is the price. My plan is 400bt to pay me back, 100bt for the machine and 100bt for the workers per Rai, but the fuel costs is leaving the payback account short.

Cheers.

At 4 lt per rai your cost should be about 122 bt per rai. Your wife is correct on that 600 baht per rai, that's the going rate over here Kap Chong. Also your pay maybe high. The operators get 20%.

Need to rent in Chiang Mai (mueng) this weekend, and maybe next as well, three 10-wheel dump trucks, with their drivers, to move a large amount of soil just 2 km between its source and destination. Estimated 50-to-75 trips in all between source and dump destination.

Also, a large front-end loader (or "bull dozer" or "backhoe loader"), with its operator, is needed to store the dumps in high piles to save space at destination. Another machine is already available at the source to fill the dump trucks.

Does anyone know any outfits or companies that can supply such services using heavy equipment in the Chiang Mai area?

Thanks!

Hi Farmerjo, you can get a soil test kit for 3000 baht which originates from Kasetsart University.

"

The soil test kit

The SSNM requires soil information from soil series, which relies on the recent soil analysis. Fertilizer recommendations will be incorrect when the soil analysis data from the original data set is used. However, the soil laboratory in Thailand cannot support all soil samples from farmers, and the test will take a long time. To solve this problem, Professor Dr. Tasnee Attanandana has developed a soil test kit which is efficient, quick, easy, and cheap. The basic steps of this soil test kit are: soil samples are extracted by acid, then the solution is used for analysis by various reagents, and the colors of the solution are compared to the standard colors chart. The critical point is that the amounts of soil samples and all reagents need to be measured with a standard cup and dropper for accurate analysis.

The soil test kit developed by Kasetsart University uses the double acid extract agent (Mehlich I). It can analyze nitrogen in the nitrate and ammonium form. It can also analyze phosphorus, potassium, and soil pH. The results from the analyses are classified into five quality levels. Farmers have confirmed that this soil test kit is easy to use (Fig. 2)." http://www.fftc.agnet.org/library.php?func=view&style=type&id=20140717160317

Hey there.

I've got a 2012 New Holland 6610S for sale. It's got only 800 hours on the clock. I'm selling because I've sold all the land and only have the tractor left. Has a blade on front, 3 disc, 7 disc, cane planter, sub soil fertilizer, and a good sized trailer.

The tractor itself cost 1,650,000 new w blade and 3 disc.

The tractor is located in Nong Bua Lamphu province, not far from Nong Bua Lamphu city. I'll be there from the 5th through the 10th or so of September to sell the last plot of land. I'd like to get rid of the tractor as well. Currently working in Canada and am travelling to Thailand for the land sale so I am motivated to sell this tractor as well.

Entertaining offers. Contact me for pics, and I'll try to find some.

I'll post this up on the main farmers board as well.

Cheers

I have a Husqvarna 272XP chain saw for sale, probably used for about 150 hours. This machine has never failed me and has recently been reliably serviced and cleaned.

I might as well get rid of my chain saw sharpener, with disc, at the same time.

Asking ฿6000,- for the saw, ฿1500.- for the sharpener. Offers accepted. Obviously both together would be interesting

I live near Buriram and might consider delivering within a few hundred kilometres, otherwise come and get it (or wait for the school; holidays)

Of course you would like to see and hear it running, whereabouts are you? I will make a video if you like, however I have a very slow internet connection at present.

The saw was cleaned and serviced professionally and has never let me down.

There is a second chain somewhere and the chain on there now is pretty new.

18" bar, yes.

I will get to you soon.

Looking for a small Kubota (14+hp) with tools, such as rotary tiller & cutter, multi blade/disc plough, front dozer blade, etc. Will also consider a 2-wheeler with the same extras, except the dozer blade. Any pictures of the latter, showing the accessories attached would be appreciated.

It contains the Owner's Manual and Parts Catalogue for EF352T and EF453T and I also have a Parts CD from SSB Tractor where you can order most everything you might need for your tractor. My EF453T (150 hrs) is for sale by the way so if you know someone who is interested please call 081 1631440. I can send you copies of the CD's if you are interested.

Hi Crswede, I have just acquired a Yanmar EF352T, if you happen to still have the Owner's Manual and Parts Catalogue for EF352T, I would be very interested to get a copy of the files. Cheers and thanks in advance

Hi everyone!

My name is Miras, I am a startup founder from Hong-Kong. Our company is developing a solution that will help farmers to save 50-90% of their herbicide use. Long story short, it detects weeds inside the crop row and applies herbicides on them, instead of spraying everything. It does everything in real-time and does not require internet access.

It is not finished yet. But we working really hard to deliver it to the market ASAP. We also heard a lot about herbicide ban in Thailand and are willing to work with Thai farmers to help them maintain their yields along with decreasing their herbicide use. We plan to roll out the first version by Spring 2020-21.

We would be super happy to talk with farmers who grow corn or sunflower and discuss what features would need to be in the end product. We will also be in Thailand for a week in the end of November. Will be happy to meet as much people as we can. If you know someone who grows corn and has problems with herbicides, please share them our contacts or give us theirs.

I would be happy to have a Skype call with anyone interested in our solution. Please do not hesitate contact me here, through email ([email protected]), or via WhatsApp (+77471088637).

Any suggestion on how much would you pay for the product would also be very appreciated (assuming it can cover 10 hectares per day and save at least 50% of herbicides).

Thank you!:)
