Fake (or Faulty) Memory cards on sale inside DMK

Well I should have learnt by now, I never usually buy USB drives or SD / microSD memory cards from small shops, I usually buy from larger stores like BananaIT or Invadeit...

But I forgot my rule, needed an extra SD card for my tablet, thought inside an airport would be Kosher kit...

Paid 1295thb for a 64Gb SD card that worked at the airport, got it home, tried to copy some serious data to it and it fails everytime..., re-formatted etc etc, no joy.

Just saying, stick to BananaIT or InvadeIT ...

Cheers

SB

Ps The shop is just thru the scanners in domestic departures on the right....

In Windows you cannot copy files over 4GB onto (standard) FAT32 formatted storage devices*, needs to be formatted to NTFS first, but this format is not compatible with Android. You can try fixing it with this tool http://www.flashdrive-repair.com/2013/03/repair-sandisk-flash-drive-and-oti-with.html however not sure if this tool works with memory cards it's more for USB sticks.

If you post a photo of the backside of the blister here that could help.

*however after formatting from NTSF back to FAT32 Windows suddenly can copy 4Gb+ files to it, no idea why.
