KhunBENQ
Just a little older than the actual fleet. So don't be concerned So lets hope that this Christmas present will actually lie under the tree. (not like the grand opening of new Berlin airport in 2011, still not open )
Enoon
Maybe it's just an "artists impression" and they haven't really hung a Stuka dive-bomber (that is what the aeroplane depicted is) in the terminal?
brommers
Isn't it simply yet another indication that those Thai in positions of influence have a strong alignment with dictatorship, & a staggering lack of appreciation for what offends those countries that were under attack by the Luftwaffe. I tried to conduct a dialogue with AOT a few minutes ago via their contact system on their website. The dolt at their office had no idea what I was talking about nor any appreciation of the likely ridicule that this revolting display will add to the already hugely negative global press coverage of Thailand. bangon04
"A series of delays pushed completion back about a year and a half." That explains the strange opening date on a non-auspicious day.
mancub
It's only an artist's impression.......probably added the aircraft to draw some attention to his "art".

snoop1130
Don Mueang’s Terminal Two to open partially for domestic passengers on Dec 24Thai PBS BANGKOK -- Domestic air passengers are advised to use Terminal Two of Don Mueang airport for check-ins beginning on Thursday as the terminal is open partially for use. Check-in counters of the airlines operating at Don Mueang are as follows: Row 9-10 for Thai Air Asia; Row 11 for R Airline, Orient Thaiand Thai Lion Air; Row 12 for Thai Lion and Thai Smile airlines; and Row 14-15 for Nok Air.Meanwhile, Terminal One is open for international flights.Nok Air CEO Pathee Sarasin said Wednesday that the airline is now testing the check-in system at Terminal Two and he cannot tell whether the opening of Terminal Two will help ease the check-in gridlock because 80 percent of passengers at Don Mueang airport are domestic passengers.Airports of Thailand managing director Nitinai Srisamatthakarn admitted that there might be some hitches during the initial stage because the terminal is partially open with some of the shops are still being renovated. However, he said the terminal will be fully operational next February.Source: http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/don-mueangs-terminal-two-to-open-partially-for-domestic-passengers-on-dec-24 -- Thai PBS 2015-12-
