Confuscious
My previous GPS was a China made model without a brand name, The SD-Card had a copy software (IGo) with the map of Thailand. I would like to convert the POI files to CSV files and to enter only the points that really interest me into my new device. I have tried a lot of software, but none succeeded. Is there any way to convert the POI to a CSV file?TIA

MJCM
Here is another one you can try http://www.poieditor.com/ Quote from that site. Now works with iGO 8 POIs (.upoi files) - 05/12/08 Ps: If it still doesn't work, care to upload a sample of the file (without for example your Home or other "identifying" Pois)

MJCM
Got it, let me fiddle with it Edit : Looking at it some more, it seems it's encrypted by Magellan. Edited December 19, 2015 by MJCM
Confuscious
Got it, let me fiddle with it Edit : Looking at it some more, it seems it's encrypted by Magellan. It's a POI file which was delivered with IGO8 on SD card. If you download IGO8, you will find the same file. Hope you can get a CSV file of it. MJCM
Been looking at solutions for you, but I think User Pois in iGO8 have the extension *.upoi Look here https://poi.ashus.net/ iGO 8 user edited (*.UPOI)iGO 8.3 user edited (*.UPOI) I tried uploading to there, but the file limit is 1 Mb Will report back as soon as I have some more info. The UPOI file is easy to edit or convert to a CSV file. The file I send is a POI file. Not able to convert.
MJCM
That I understand but there must be a reason why the UPOI's can be converted but the POI's not. Copyright material maybe ? (but that's just guessing) As said will look into it some more and report back
Olafur
Interested in a tool to import / edit and generate "User POIs" (Points Of Interest) for iGO GPS systems? It generates both "user.upoi" and "KML" files. It can also be supplied with an almost complete list of NGV gas stations in Thailand, except Bangkok, where it only includes stations near the main roads. Please contact me for more information.
