fredob43
Have an Australian friend that needs to extend by a few days 1 week his visa on arrival one. He can go to Nakhon Sawan via office and get it done. Without any problem. But would sooner go and do a Mai Sot with an over the border run. Question. Can he still do it without any agro or have they blocked it now. Thanks in advance.
ubonjoe
They do not allow out/in crossings for a visa exempt entry at Mae Sot. He will need get an extension of his entry at immigration office unless he wants to make a trip to Cambodia or Laos. The only crossing to Myanmar that that allows them is Ranong.

Thanks for the info UB looks like he will have to go to N/Sawan. Not a problem as they are both about the same distance from us. Its just that they are doing road works there and it's a real pain at present.
KhunBENQ
Seems like travel to the Myanmar (Burma) border should be considered carefully. Reports from misc. border points of unrest and closure. (and that does not affect Thai people only) http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/881868-thais-urged-to-defer-travel-to-myanmar/ Bangkok Post has more coverage. Only out/in border crossings for a visa exempt entry are not allowed at both locations.
