I wouldn't give the Thai police much credit unless you are of course apologizing for them. They don't "slip" through their fingers either. They get on a plane before they get caught. The Thai police were given his name, address, phone number and a lot of other info from the USA AUTHORITIES. Maybe some praise on here for the US authorities is in order. Lack of rational inquiry and thought are not great traits , justice shouldn't be delivered on a knee jerk reaction. All too often "justice" can be delivered when the end result has been decided and the means to get to the result is made to fit. If he is guilty then he deserves a suitable punishment but before he is proved guilty then presumably any evidence that says otherwise should be examined. More and more free sites with all kind of pornographic, even in you tube, it is the normal now. I do not have doubts that many crimes related to sex, like rapes, etc, with young people involved, is motivated for what they see online. Any Thai kid with a smart phone or laptop can access those hundred of pornographic sites online, without to pay for, and without any age verification. Will the Government and Police to punish people for watching those pictures and videos online too???....If they do, probably will have to fine and put in jail all the high school and university students. And...before you make any comment about....yes...sometimes I watch that with my wife. Some videos are very weird..some are funny....some are good motivation to our fantasies....We are no kids anymore, but kids do not deal with that "inspiration" very well most of the times. Teenagers rape and pregnancy is very common in many countries now...and is not reported. Sex education in schools it is very rare. Thanks god..we do not have teenagers children to be worry about that anymore.....but...I cannot stop to worry about our friends and family children walking hooked to their portable computers all day, in home and schools, without supervision. I agree with you entirely, but I don't think the police here are so interested in this type of crime. Take a walk along Sukhumvit and there is still child porn readily available. Not along ago I was at the Marriot Hotel. When I came out some guy approached me and asked if I wanted a lady. After a polite no, he asked if I wanted a man. Again I said "No thanks" to which he replied "A young boy or young girl?" The police could easily get these guys, but they are not interested.
