bigbadthaijohn
Hi all, I have an interesting issue. My current nonO SE marriage visa expires on March 1st. My plan was to go to Savannakhet to get a new nonO ME visa. However, I have to take a business trip to south Africa at that time. I will leave from bkk on Feb 27th, and return on Mar 6th. My new plan is to return on a 30-day visa exemption, then go to Savannakhet later in March. I just want to make sure that I won't have a problem returning on the visa exemption. I've had no exemptions within the last 6 months and am an American. Sent from my ASUS_T00J using Tapatalk
ubonjoe
You should have no problem getting a visa exempt entry when you return. You could also get a 60 day extension to visit your wife and then get a re-entry permit that would give you an entry of about 55 days when your return.
bigbadthaijohn
Thanks, Joe. Am I right in thinking that the extension and reentry permit would run me a total of 3,900 baht? Sent from my ASUS_T00J using Tapatalk
ubonjoe
It would be 1900 baht for the extension and 1000 baht for the re-entry permit.
bigbadthaijohn
Right. I meant to type 2,900. Thanks again. Sent from my ASUS_T00J using Tapatalk
