PHUKET: Police are puzzling over the death of a 28-year-old Canadian man found dead in a Patong hotel room early this morning (Feb 9)

Kathu Police Capt Yingyong Chuoykij was called to the long-standing Tropica Bungalow Resort on the Patong beach road just before 6am, where staff led the officers to the room where the body of a Canadian man they named as Michel Jerry Talbot, 28, was still lying on his bed.

“We found no signs of robbery or assault,” Capt Yingyong said.

“Mr Shannon, a male friend of Mr Talbot, told us that they came back from a night out at around 11pm and went to bed without changing.

How delightfully karmic it would be that should you pass away unexpectedly that some dipstick in a public forum would slander you and your travelling friend for all the world, your friends and family to see.

What even makes you come up with such drivel? Does it make you feel like a better man? I hope karma is sweet in this case smile.png

Not necessarily that it was a heart attack it could have been an Anaphylactic shock that display similar symptoms,

in any case, seems like that foreigners are dropping dead like flies recently due to myriad of reasons....

Only 28 years old, young to have some sort of heart attack.

Why so, a friend dropped dead at 25 from a heart attack....

GREAT Thai reporting AGAIN.

The article says he was found in his room deceased.

Then they said he was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Where do they get these IDIOTIC reporters from?

Anyhow far to young to die.

RIP, condolences to his family.

Why, he could well have expired in the room with first responders and been pronounced dead by doctors upon arrival.

Also, the report is likely a translation, is that so hard to fathom?

Edit: I have just re read the story. It does not say he was rushed to hospital, you and d that yourself. it says he was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, presumably by someone with the authority to call it. it could not be more clear, and its the exact same thing that would happen with a paramedic in the much vaunted west.

......something in the food....or drink....or bedding.....

.....hope they investigate.....

...but sadly...that is the last thing they want to do.......

...reminds me of 2 Quebec sisters.........RIP.......

...sickening....sad...maddening.....

...and of course 'nobody ever to blame'.....except the victims.....

....this place is becoming really scary.....

Someone has died, leaving behind people who loved them. Any more rude, crass, off topic, disgusting posts will earn an immediate suspension

Agree 100% with this rule, I have posted many times about insensitive comments when someone has lost their life, immediate suspension for sure, we don't want these sort of people posting here.

I do not know why this even made the forum.

It is just a sad death (far too young, young man)

Now just let the relatives grieve in peace

Maybe someone from Thai Visa knew him ? Maybe someone from Thai Visa saw something the night he died and could add information, about the case ?

When an Expat dies; it is news.

Do you hate Canadian people ?

I hope they immediately test for that illegal bedbug spray (the lazy Canadian Embassy should be involved). Not saying that is the cause here but I think we all know it has been the cause in the past and has been covered up.

For that to be the case, there would have been more symptoms?

Remember the 25 year old who died from spider bites?

Too young to die. RIP and condolences to his family and friends.

There have been cases when tourists not used to the hot climatically conditions of Thailand have a few alcoholic drinks, the mixture of alcohol and heat causes the body`s blood sugar to decrease to dangerously low levels, a condition that requires a glucose drip. If not caught in time can prove fatal.

Only 28 years old, a tragedy.
