Jai Dee
Anemonefish breeding is successful in Krabi Krabi's Coastal Fisheries Research and Development Center is successful in breeding the Anemonefish commercially. Furthermore, these fish can promote tourism in Krabi and can be promoted as an export product too. Mr. Samart Setsatit (สามารถ เศรษฐสถิตย์), Fisheries Academician 6, said that the center successfully accomplished the research and breeding of Anemonefish. Some fish had been sold to those who are interested and some are displayed for the tourism purpose. Aside from that, the center also received a supporting budget to improve the center so that it will attract more tourists. The center started breeding Anemonefish since year 2000 and became successful in the year 2003. Numerous species including local and domestic breeds have been bred for the commercial purposes. The prices of Anemonefish started from 7 baht per fish with 1-inch length. All prices are subjected to change depending on the species. Many private sectors are interested in breeding these fish and the market will surely expand. In the near future, Anemonefish will be a very important export product for Thailand. udon
Thanks for the minivideo. The common English name is Clown Fish, not cartoon. Were there various colors? I couldn't tell from the video. Cheers again.

Cheers again. I think Ch11 was just literally translating from Thai where this fish is called "pla cartoon" or cartoon fish. As a side note, other than marine fish enthusiasts, the breeders will have to wait for Finding NEMO Part II to boost sales of this specie.
