I remember years ago when one had to pay a membership fee to search. I think that was Yahoo. Yahoo was the biggie in those days. On the other hand, dating site was my enter point to LOS. We were together two and a half year, so it's possible to meet decent and normal people there. I think the friend has gone overboard and is more specifically looking for naughty girls. Maybe his messages are a little bit over the mark and the nice girls have complained. I guess that the majority of older men go on those sites are mostly looking for sex with younger women more so then long term relationships and no doubts there are women on those sites that will be eager to oblige for a price. Then if the admins on those sites receive complaints or think there are suspicious activities going on they will try to block certain profiles to protect their sites reputations or if people are using proxies to hide their true IP addresses the site may ask for verification. Have you used dating type sites of the many kinds on the internet before? Not only Thai based but all the others and not to mention the apps? The best ones are free and active with possibilties to upgrade for a small amount of money for some additional benefit. Don't get muddled into thinking this is purely a Thai-based things or rush to condemn everyone trying to meet women online just cause it's Thailand. These so-called 'desperate men' are all over the world wanting to meet women, Thailand is not a special case and all the best meeting and dating type sites all operate in pretty much the same way and I expect that is for a reason, isn't it. Lots of working girls? We have those on dating sites here in the Middle East yet those same sites hardly have any back in the UK version of the site The paid sites need a hell of a marketing budget a la E-Harmoney and Match, etc for more serious match making. Those lists are resold to marketting companies and they then make a fortune sending them publicities, cold calling and other various way to profit from them. In Thailand, that does not really exist yet. There's some phone lists and depending on salary some numbers are worth more but nothing as advanced as in the western world where we have 0 privacy. Match and Eharmony have been bought for big money exactly because of that. Not the recurring membership, the INFORMATION collected is worth way more. It's just like those fake facebook account that make you share stupid crap, everyone sharing is listed and their infos are sold to agencies.
