A friend who was arrested in BKK some years ago said that calling his Embassy was the worst thing he could have done.

Once the Embassy becomes involved the police adopted an official position which left no room to maneuver, better he said to quietly negotiate a way out of whatever situation you find you're self in.

exactly,tea money everytime.

The most fun one can have with these old news postings is calculating the ratio of banned posters from those posting on the first page. :D

:D

The other funny aspect of these old news postings are the current replies generated from people that don't pay even minimal attention to the date of posts they are replying to, much less that member's current status. One of these ancient four-old post by someone who's been banned from the forum for the same four years just got flamed tonight by a current poster... :o

I'll spare him the embarrassment of ID'ing him, but well done there, ******** :D

Well, this is typical of the Abhisit government. Defenceless Americans beaten to death in prisons. I'll bet he suffered this bruising while being towed out to the middle of Pattaya Bay before being set adrift. Abhisit has obviously failed to do a single thing while PM and should be dragged out of office in a tar and feather suit. The country has certainly gone downhill since Thaksin was in charge. :o

Yea, I just about tripped over that one and only noticed the date on the response form. It would be nice if the program could archive these older threads in such a manner that, after a given period of time, when some one brings them back from the dead so to speak, that the topic title would indicate a Phoenix thread being revived from the ashes such as "Re: American Man..." or something of the sort.
