SISAKET:-- Raunchy photos taken in a North Eastern Thailand rice field showing a bare chested foreign man and his bride to be are going viral on Facebook, reports Thaivisa News.

The photos - set amongst a backdrop of rice farming and buffalos - are set to cause a storm of controversy between cultural traditionalists and the younger generation.

The two dozen pre-wedding pictures show a pretty Thai woman called Koko and her husband in waiting, a Danish businessman called Christian dressed in traditional Thai clothing in far from traditional poses.

Koko is seen with her head in Christian's lap amid the rice sheafs and the pair are seen frolicking in a pond and kissing amongst the buffalos. In a countryside where even holding hands is considered a no-no the pair are seen embracing, staring lovingly into each other's faces and walking hand in hand amidst the rice paddies.

Thousands of comments have been made about the pictures posted on the page of Narakorn Photography, hired to take the pre-nuptial set late last year. They have only just emerged to a startled Thai public.

In a commentary the studio said that Christian had fallen for Koko as well as Thai culture! Koko is a native of the tiny village of La-Oh in Nam Kliang district of Sisaket, a traditional farming community.

But so far comments on the pics that many traditionalists will see as disparaging of Thai culture have been overwhelmingly positive with a huge number of respondents saying the pictures are "beautiful" and show two people in love among the background of Koko's birthplace.

The studio commented: "Koko wanted a set of pictures of where she grew up. She was thinking about her father as we led the buffalo out for the shots and reminisced about swimming in the pond as a child.

"Some people only think of dust, heat and being far from civilisation when it comes to the farmlands of Isaan but our pictures show love and a sense of being close to family and relatives and remembrance of a happy childhood.

"Koko will never forget her roots and we feel that she will find good in her married life.It was a memorable photo shoot."

Posters agreed with those sentiments by and large but the pictures are sure to arouse keen debate on Thai versus Western values especially as the photos reach an older generation still shocked by displays of affection they see as the domain of city folk and not appropriate in the Thai countryside.

The pictures are bound to draw comment from the culture ministry that last week even called for "pretties" at the Muang Thong motor show to show less flesh and cover up with traditional Thai clothing after going too far in previous years.

I see two buffalos in that picture...one appears to be the lessor spotted european buffalo...zoom out on the picture and one will observe the MacMansion and "truck"

I see 2 people very much in love. The glass is either half..., we all choose our own perspective on things and people. Some of us feel good about the happiness of others and some of us are hopelessly jealous.

Raunchy photos!!.. I think the Thaivisa "reporters" need to get out more! This is pure trolling!

Absolutely right. Well done Admin, the very least you could do is to change the headline. "Love pics" has connotations that you were obviously trying to convey that do not apply here.

very professional photos that are staged and posed. with a hired model. Maybe I will do the same and send to my friends in the states. smile.png

Very astute of you to notice the professional photographers logo on every picture but, so what?

Which one, in your infinitive wisdom, do you think is the "hired model"?

" In a countryside where even holding hands is considered a no-no the pair are seen embracing, staring lovingly into each other's faces and walking hand in hand amidst the rice paddies".is this the same countryside where mothers and fathers send their daughters to Bangkok and Pattaya, they don't consider that a No No,as long as they keep sending money back home.

she would be considered very ugly by most Thais, Issanites as well.

...but nowhere near as ugly as your comment.

I would be willing to bet that you would be considered very ugly by any standards.

If the cap fits wear it.

Unless he's engaged this "hired model" repeatedly over the past 15 months in order to pull off this elaborate hoax...

Even though I personally think she's 10x more beautiful than any of the pasty-white so-called "pretties" in the motor show thread, and 25x more attractive than Harold's porn-star missus, thai3 is probably correct: she's way too brown to be considered beautiful by any hi-so's or hi-so-wannabees.

Hej Christian,

I bet you're reading all these comments.

Just let them talk man, they are all jealous with your hapiness, even the Thai who make a big deal out of it. Guess they would rather see Thai people fighting in their own soap-series on tv every night.

Thailand has to decide whether it is a merging modern society or a traditional one, on the one hand it is ok to wander half naked around Pattaya , but not in a paddy field surrounded by buffaloes, and this is the cause of so much anguish between younger and senior generations , you like the western opulence like mobiles , Video games , I pads, TV , flushing toilets and BMW's , but when it suits you, you go back into your traditional shell, as one nice progressive Lady from the west put it, " I am not amused", comes to mind. ................................................coffee1.gif

So all those traditional lady's upcountry still think their granddaughters work in the 711 in Pattaya or Phuket?

Jealous?

Not in the least...dark skinned Isaan ladies are not my "thing" and either is living in rice paddy in Nakon Nowhere...

But it does seem my rather sacastic post has gone right over your head and has wrongly been associated with envy somehow..

Time will tell if one day Mr farang looks back on the photos one day and comments " what was i thinking ?"
