Merylhighground
Maybe they can 'nab' that feral beardy hairy alcoholic Westerner who is always around Soi 3, screaming abuse in his abysmal Thai, then kicking off with the Thais;
NongKhaiKid
Hard to believe all these criminal networks have just sprung up recently which begs the question why has there never been serious ' crackdowns ' before ? How long will these operations continue and how far reaching will they be ?
thesetat2013
I can just imagine the perplexing looks on the criminals when their cohort cop comes to arrest them. Their are going to be a lot of extra envelopes being handed out this year I think.

worgeordie
Seems a lot of effort and manpower, for so little in results, but I suppose they did not look too hard for the gang leaders, and as seems to be the norm here, only go after the little fish. regards worgeordie
tuanku
After collaborating with the military to ransack many areas of Ayutthaya province, the Provincial Police Region 1 has found............... Did they mean ransack? ran·sack ˈranˌsak/ verb go hurriedly through (a place) stealing things and causing damage. "burglars ransacked her home" synonyms: plunder, pillage, raid, rob, loot, sack, strip, despoil; More search through (a place or receptacle) to find something, especially in such a way as to cause disorder and damage. "Hollywood ransacks the New York stage for actors" synonyms: plunder, pillage, raid, rob, loot, sack, strip, despoil; More On second thoughts maybe they did. phoenixdoglover
28 weapons and 400 rounds of ammunition. Why am I thinking most of those guns were unused relics?

geisha
Seems to be all over Thailand now. Gangs of youths out to rob and hurt, not only tourists but Thais too. Phuket has been bad, getting worse , over the last 6/7 years. Now it's becoming a huge problem in out of the way places and villages, the islands. It's quite frightening when you hear of rape and attacks all the time, and tourists are certainly getting to hear about it on the news, Internet, and TV at home. Adding to that the publicity from the almost daily " suicides", motorbike, jet ski, taxi and tour bus accidents, I would say that Thailand has become one of the most dangerous countries to visit/ live, and certainly has the worst reputation. Can any other tourist welcoming country boast of being worse ?
