I'm sure that someone will be along soon enough, to remind us that, currently, the sale of E Cigarettes is Banned in Thailand, so I won't go any further.

There's a forum called Thailand Vapers which might be of some use, though.

...do they help?

they help if you respect the rule " don't take anything else " and if you are motivated; if not motivated, unuseful, you will spend money for nothing

I have stopped smoking with the help of Nicorette 26 years ago, never smoked again; Nicorette gives you the disgust of tobacco

When I quit I never had much luck with Nicorette gum or lozenges but was highly successful with their inhalers (Hypnosis, acupuncture and dermal patches were also a failure)

Served two purposes, gave me the nicotine that I needed for the cravings and satisfied the hand / mouth coordination that is the second part of the smoking syndrom

I could not get them in either Germany or the US, but in Finland , where they were so strict on drugs you had to go to a pharmacy to get aspirin, but the government made smoking cessation aides available at every shop that sold cigarettes

Google Image search shows them available at Boots but don't know if available in Thailand

I don't think NRTs are sold in Thailand at all. My understanding is that they cannot be licensed for sale due to the Thai Tobacco Monopoly.

After 3 years on e-cigs, started to get imports seized and have now started to find it difficult to get decent quality e-liquid, and most crucially, replacement e-cig components. And when I can get them they are hugely overpriced. Last attempt I made was from one of the big vendors on the forum mentioned above and the extremely overpriced hipster branded liquid basically contained no nicotine, only pg/vg and flavourings - very bad experience.

I'm back on the snus again and enjoying it to be honest. Can order snus from Sweden up to 200g a delivery, around 1000b and would last most people at least a month or so. Not sure if it's tax free but I never get tax assessed. I use buysnus.com

Before ex-smokers jump in with 'why don't you just stop' - I like nicotine, just as I like caffeine. I simply prefer to reduce the extra risk added by taking it in the form of burning tobacco.

I buy imported US juice from a BKK based website and have done so for a long time with no problem at all and prices are ok

Kangertech are a reputable brand, although i would go with a tank as opposed to a dripper, juice wise, everyone has different tastes so just buy a few you fancy and try them, Cuttwood is some of the best juice you can buy, but quite difficult to find in Thailand and more expensive if you do find it

whats the diff dripper vs tank ?

A dripper you have to refill with juice a lot more than a tank, its basically just the coil(s) and the wicking material with no reseviour for juice, it makes them smaller...and you just wet the wicking material...a tank is exactly that holds larger quantities of juice and your coil and wick are submerged in the juice, making them bigger.. but they operate in a similar manner

If that makes sense ?

Something like below would suit to start with, but only buy the all stainless tank, not the coloured ones...after a period of time the coating inside the tank starts peeling off, had the "all black" kit as one of the first i bought and the coating started peeling off inside the tank...not a biggie, but it takes time and aggravation to sit and scrape the coating off all the tank internal components
