Knife wielding robber doesn't bargain for plucky 7-11 staffer who fights back

Recommended Posts

I am impressed with the restraint that the 7-11 employee showed. He could have easily justifiably killed the man that had the pen knife with those scissors. He is to be praised for his actions, quick thinking and coolness during this incident.

I salute you sir!

I hope his identity remains confidential so as not to endanger his life or his family. But I hope the store owner appreciates what this young man did, and how much danger he faced. Will he be rewarded or wai'd? Who knows? I for one am proud of him!! Very good for you young man!!! You are someone in these difficult time that is to be praised!

That's great, some mentally unstable guy comes in, tries to steal some Twinkies with a penknife, and he gets stabbed in the chest - and everyone praises the 'plucky' staffer who looks be about twice his size. Next time, let him get away with a few of the pre-packaged food items and even a bit of cash - heaven knows the 7/11 owners can probably cover it.

Yes the owner of PC which owns 7/11 he can cover it being one of the richest men in the world right up there with Bill Gates and Warren Buffett.

Quite possibly your post "harkish" should go down as the most irresponsible of the day.

people like you defends Islamic terrorists now

if an adult male threatening someone with a knife - he deserves repercussions.

Better to give him what he wants and be able to go home alive.

Would have be a different outcome if an accomplice was outside watching through the window and had a gun.

If you belong to a gang there could be future retribution.

Let the Police follow up. They are pretty good at finding bad people.

Idiot post supportive of the thief...Justice would

Have been for the clerk to use a 45 and blow his

Thieving head off.

Yeah right. Arm every 7/11 store in Thailand with 0.45's as a deterrent to theft. That'll bring the customers in, knowing they could be caught in a crossfire at any time. And you're talking about idiot posts?facepalm.gif

He'd "already done 2 convenience stores before". Clearly the likely paltry fine imposed upon him was insufficient to deter him. Lock the bastard up for 5 years. He might learn then!

He probably hasn't been brought to justice yet for his 2 previous offences, and is awaiting trial.

If charges were pressed, there is no way he would get a fine. The courts over here count theft as a very serious crime, usually carrying a guaranteed custodial sentence, and, as in this case, serial offenders would spend a long time behind bars.

Lots of places back home will fire you if you fight back and don't give up the cash.

The liability and insurance implications of getting an employee and innocent bystanders killed far outweighs the loss of a few dollars on a robbery.

Of course, the equations of life and money are different here.

Warning: Graphic content!

Really?

Apart from the obvious fact that a video has a graphic component - why was the warning even necessary?

Are the forum members perceived to be a bunch of scared little softies scared of their own shadows....oops.... might have answered my own question.

If the post and video was of a few beheadings in the deep south I could understand, but a little pushing and shoving in a 7-11?

Are we importing the nanny state mentality? Please tell me this is not the case.

i was a securicor guard years ago. inside my van it said dont forget the fighting spirit, bugger, its not my money and it was insured anyway.why risk getting shot or stabbed for nothing, oh, and the money was crap.

Not everyone think like you, some will fight for what's right, some will say, oh, flukk it, not my money,

it's the primal fight or flight instincts that kicks in and it's different in each one of us....

And that would be so reassuring to your family if you were killed for 50 dollars in the cash register.

Not everyone think like you, ... ain't that the truth.
