slapout Posted May 24, 2016 Share Posted May 24, 2016 There are several restrictions for use of this land paper, as is change of ownership, other than inheritence of land. 1972 was the last time certain types of these documents could be legally issued and 2010 was cut off date to apply for upgrade via court to eventually get a (no question of acceptance) legal document to the land. Good to see this government going after and retrieving land that has been illegally sold /stolen , occupied, built on, farmed, etc. The total disregard for existing laws by people ignoring the land use laws in gaining possion would most likely, in many cases, point to the use of illegally obtained funds to pay those involved, in assisting them in their claim to ownership of these properties. To really put it right, make those involved pay all expense in demolitation and restoring land to orginal condition and add a huge charge of yearly rental of property while in their control. zaZa9 Posted May 24, 2016 Share Posted May 24, 2016 This couldnt have happened to a more deserving family. 11 years or so they were happy to see any visitors .... 8 years ago , they were asserting you had to pay for parking as it was on their land. 5 years ago , and having eaten a light lunch at their restaurant , they insisted we then take beach chairs at 200 each if we wished to swim , and when we pointed out we would eat some more later , were told to pay and go! Not so long back it was 500 baht a person to be 'allowed' to swim! I agree with slapout. Any business that has been on public land should be made to pay back rent and fines.
