CHACHOENGSAO — It was less than a good morning for Atthaporn Boonmakchuay today. Not after a python slithered out of his squat toilet, bit his penis and refused to let go.

Atthaporn, who just regained consciousness, spoke from his hospital bed Wednesday afternoon to recount the ordeal he experienced in the bathroom of his home east of Bangkok in Chachoengsao province, which he’d entered for his morning routine of a shower and protracted bowel movement.

I am confused by the photos in the linked article.

The first photo is a library photo of a snake.

The second photo shows the victim in hospital

The third photo shows the squat loo removed from the toilet floor and the snake still entwined in it.

The fourth photo looks like mass murder has just occurred in the toilet! Blood everywhere.

Assuming the time line is the fourth photo is the latest snap, what caused this bloodbath when the report says that the snake will be 'released back to nature'? (In fairness, the report doesn't say that the snake will be released alive back to nature coffee1.gif

I've been bitten by a python but only on the arm and that was an almighty bloody mess which required 16 stitches, deep cleansing, and was exquisite agony.

I have nothing but sympathy and pity for this man. It was bad enough on the arm let alone bang on the John Thomas....

Atthaporn said "he had just squatted over his toilet for his usual 30 minutes of morning business"
I bet he'll dump a lot quicker in the future. Who spends 30 minutes squatting unless its part of his exercise regime

It could be the third and fourth photos are in the wrong order; the blood is presumably from the victim, and was mopped up before they decided to remove the toilet.

The python obviously had good eye sight. Like looking for a match stick attached to a couple of frozen peas. I bet the poor bloke's voice changed when Peter the python grabbed hold of his fishing tackle. From Barry White to the Beegees "I'm taking a duuuuummmmmpppppp!!". Wife arrives and probably the whole neighbourhood to watch the commotion. "Umh, don't pull dear, you'll make it angry". Andy Warhol said once that everyone gets 15 minutes of fame. Anyhow, time is a healer, I'm sure all this will blow away soon. One things for sure though, this guys going to have irritable bowel syndrome from now on.

Had a similar encounter a few years back. Luckily for me, I was standing up and when the python realized he was bested by the overwhelming size of his one-eyed foe, recoiled in shame and slithered back down the sewer.

Speedy recovery to the gent! Given the superstitious nature of Thai culture, his member may now be seen to be imbued with some supernatural powers!!! Maybe that's why he is smiling...thinking of all the ladies that want a piece of his action now. Haha.

I expect his wife as already acquired two lotto numbers. One from the snake and one from the tali-whacker.
