papa al
Today, riding with a guy following, across a deep plowed field that had a track roughed in across it, papa lost front wheel and flying right. There was a hole in which a small like, 2 foot, coconut tree had been started. Flying toward it was thinking ... the farmer was going to be <deleted>. But when the dust settled, baby-tree, bike, papa, all unscathed. Maybe Steve caught it on his helmet cam.

Today attacked the plastic with a 4" angle-head grinder with rough flapper sanding head. With that and a pair of tire-irons was able to get the job done. Looks so much better. papa al
So after several false-starts finally raised the handlebar height by fitting a taller bar from Honda Zoomer-X, sourced locally B500. The shorty clutch-lever came in today. KMK mech switched things out this afternoon. The new bars are narrower also, about 8-cm. overall. Short test-ride suggests this configuration will be more user-friendly. Try to up some photos soonish.

papa al
The Climber has impressive USD forks up front. Onlyest prob is that the seals don't last long. Had new ones fitted ~ a year back, but the drooping returned. So ... dropped her off at KMK mech. The little guy, least fav mech, got the job. Took two day to get started, and big bro & dad had to take over. Also had them change the RX-Z clutch/tranny oil. papa supplying Amsoil 10W-40. [0.6-liter]. Skid plate was removed for that. B550. Anywho, forks turgid again. What a sweet little bike.

The man of the house [where papa keeps his dirt bikes] extended invitation to a party next door at his dad’s..80th birthday. 11am Sunday. OK. Arrived a little late. 8 monks a chanting.! Like 200 guests. Catered. DJ. Thais do know how to party. papa gifted dad an 1888 US Morgan silver-dollar.
papa al
Been getting some rain at KMK. Friday afternoon had to turn back under heavy down-pour. Trail became muddy stream. Rode yesty, and many other riders were out. Saw maybe 40-50. 1/2 farang. Like the United Nations out there! One guy on a Tenere or similar. papa: Big bike. rider: too big for this. papa al
Out on the single-track trail today, the Climber quit about 4 km in. Throttle funky. Pulled the assembly apart and found broken cable. Pusher her ~km, mostly uphill up to the paved road serving Wat Tham Prathun. Sweating like a hog. Parked her at the trail-head and walked 1/2 km down to Rt.3240. The 10th vehicle by, an Ozzy on a PCX, gave me a 4km lift back to base-camp. Noonish. The Landlord with his songtaow & ramp achieved the recovery ez peasy and we dropped her off at the mechanic shop. Busy there, but by about 3:30 a new cable was proper installed. B180. Bought a couple nice Durian and gave to Mrs. Landlord.
papa al
Trails are good. Some tree have been blowing down but somebody clears them. Rain has been good to consolidate the sandy areas. Not much mud. Ran into a big tree Friday. Don't know why. My mechs straightened up the left bark-buster. All good. papa al
The Vee Rubber rear tire installed new on the Climber, Nov. 2019, Is showing de-lam of the tread/cap on the right side. Vee offers the least expensive trials tires sold here. Maybe so-so quality.? Maybe ran it too low pressure once.? Slamming rocks & logs.? Not sure why, but still working fine. Guessing about 170+ trail hours on the tire. The front is ok. Ran her about 10+ days since first noticing . Seems stable but ordered a new tire from Vee yesty. 1780baht delivered, prolly come in tomorry. Been riding quite a bit lately.
