'Foreign Tourists' Must Pay 40 Baht to Visit Wat Chedi Luang, Chiang Mai

This seems to be more than Chedi Luang as today passed by Wat Bupparam (Tapae Rd) and there was a notice at the gate saying tourists had to pay. The amount wasn't clear as the space for the figure didn't look like it had been marked in.

This is another wat on the Chinese tour trail.

Why do they have the sign also in Thai?

FOREIGNERS ONLY because ONLY GOOD THAI people understand Buddhism. A religion in Thailand, a way of following life in others where it was Originally from.

Thailand has corrupted it better than any other religion on earth and all with the assistance of the NEW DEMOCRATIC Government . Omg I really want to puke!

But Buddhism originated from Hinduism in India so Thai's cant claim it as their home grown belief

Must be a scam. The Temple is the newest temple in the old city after a complete rebuild. It must have started to fall down. If that is the quality of Thai Builders. Don't let them build you a house. After over 400 years they haven't even attempted to rebuild or repair the Chedi. Must be Tea money for the monks. In other words any SCAM to fleece the tourists.
