I cooked this dish today.
Followed the recipe but reduced the amount of oil and used coconut oil instead of red palm oil.
As side dish pan-fried banana (Nam waa) seasoned with salt, pepper and paprika powder.
Delicious....
I have trouble uploading a picture so it follows later.

Cannot wait to try it! Looks and sounds scrumptious!

What on earth do you wash that down with? Looks absolutely delish.

Well you should quote and query Naam, but assuming a glass of some putrid animal fluid!

that looks mighty fine...

I spent a few months in Bursa onna job where it's claimed that a local dude Iskender invented the kebap...loadsa good food but it can be a meat overload...

out by the project site in a poor neighborhood there were communal outdoor charcoal fired clay ovens where my turkish colleague explained that the local women would come daily to bake their bread and congregate in the usual way...never seen none of it meself as they served store bought bread in the site canteen...which was tasty enough...

I need a gweilo 'fix' now and again, this was really nice. You can make it at home easy, I love cooking. I think in Thailand the bread is hard to get good quality, the bakery in the Amari was ace when I lived there.

I did burgers at home last night. The challenge is finding good buns.

learned from my late father to experiment. he liked salted herring with strawberry jam. my mother was horrified. when our cook is off the kitchen is off limits for my wife. don't want to see her my experiments and be barred to sleep in the master-bedroom :shock1:
