phuketrichard
There is NO tourist visa on arrival!! you need apply in advance online and get a pre approved visa ($50) http://evisa.moip.gov.mm/ or go to embassy in Bangkok ( 810-1,120) depending on how fast you want it
Tomtomtom69
Singapore and Myanmar recently signed a visa-exemption agreement but I think it doesn't go into effect until later in the year. In the meantime, follow Phuketrichards advice. There is a Myanmar embassy in Bangkok as well as a consulate in Chiang Mai that both issue visas. Coming from Singapore, I'm assuming you will be flying into Bangkok hence that's the best place for you to get your visa. E-visa is also an option (as above), but going to the embassy will be cheaper. An e-visa is also NOT valid for land entry, only if you're flying in. Embassy prices are 810 Baht for 3 day processing, next day is 1050 and same day is 1260. Bring along a photocopy of the front page of your passport and some passport photos. I think only one is required but have 2 just in case. Using an agent will be more expensive.
phuketrichard
going to embassy is cheaper BUT ONLY FOR THE VISA u need stay in a hotel, eat, pay for transport back and forth, drinks, wait in line.. etc etc not worth it UNLESS ur planning on visiting Bangkok anyway
