colinneil
He must have been upset about the officials checking him out. Should have fixed the problem with a free kebab, not a right hook.

sahibji
regulate these vendors by making licensing a pre-requisite for vending business. make it compulsory to displace the licence on the vending cart. monitoring will be a breeze and it will help to reduce illegals. another member has voiced hygiene concerns. these could be monitored under the license. I know violence should be a last resort, but can you imagine how often EVERYONE who tries to make an honest day's wages is extorted by the very people who are appointed to represent and protect them? Quite possibly both.
sharecropper
Not much of a beggar clampdown going on. I walked past 9 Keystone Cops at the Watchai traffic light junction last night, pulling over (mostly) foreigners on motorbikes, while 20 yards away a woman was begging with her drugged-up toddler on the street. Pattaya28
The vendor was upset because he couldn't make the rules up as he so chose, couldn't pester people with his probably toxic kebabs, and couldn't block public walkways to suit his own personal convenience. Great stuff !! An "under the rug" jobbie, no image tarnishing of Pattaya, meaningless apology to the City Hall official, and all will be quickly forgotten.
