Kebab Seller Apologises for Punching Official in Face

PATTAYA: -- Following a meeting at City Hall, which established new rules for sidecar kitchen motorcycles, street food vendors, beggars and homeless people along Beach Road and Walking Street.

On July 13 Assistant City Law Enforcement Officers were on patrol and enforcing discipline in Pattaya when Mr Kamphol Chinabut, a thirty-seven year old kebab vendor, was arrested in front of Walking Street.

He was angry about this and reacted by punching Mr. Pramote Ouphawong, Assistant City Law Enforcement Officer, in the face.

He must have been upset about the officials checking him out.

Should have fixed the problem with a free kebab, not a right hook.

more likely upset about having to give his money to some bully in a uniform, they should punch them more often

Seemed to me that a lot of the street kebab venders were foreigners. Times are changing.

Thailand is violent,untill these scumbags do time for this it won't change ,Thais are very handy with these beatings when the other person is old ,women ,child or out numbered 5 to 1 and they always sorry when caught

regulate these vendors by making licensing a

pre-requisite for vending business.

make it compulsory to displace the licence on the vending cart.

monitoring will be a breeze and it will help to reduce illegals.

another member has voiced hygiene concerns.

these could be monitored under the license.

I know violence should be a last resort, but can you imagine how often EVERYONE who tries to make an honest day's wages is extorted by the very people who are appointed to represent and protect them?

Not 100% sure of you're referring to the kebab vendor or Thai officials.

Quite possibly both.
