Phatthalung residents are warned of possible flood and landslide

The Governor of Phatthalung, Mr. Suthep Komonphamon (สุเทพ โกมลภมร), has warned residents in lowlands and nearby mountainous areas of possible flood and landslide. The province has set up a special center to help the flood and landslide victims 24 hours a day.

Mr. Suthep stated that rainy season occurs between November and December in Phatthalung, and forest floods have taken place every year. In addition, there are possibilities of strong wind and landslide in the provinces. He has advised the local people to watch the weather reports continually and prepare vehicles and necessities such as food, water, flashlight and communication tools for prompt evacuation. He said the supplies should last for at least seven days.

Nevertheless, Mr. Suthep said his province has set up a special center to help the flood and landslide victims in all tambons and districts.

For assistance, please call 0-7461-1652 or 0-7462-0300 around the clock.
