Crossy Posted July 19, 2016 Share Posted July 19, 2016 Officially the Red Line is due to open in 2020, serves the same stations as the current SRT (which will move on to the viaduct as well) as far as Rangsit. However, the governor insisted if the construction period is to be extended, the SRT will make sure that it will not put back the Red Line's planned launch in early 2020. He added the SRT will also hold discussions with the two contractors next month to have them adjust their work schedules to ensure they are consistent. Under the plan, the infrastructure construction of the Red Line is scheduled to be completed in 2018 after which installation of the train and signalling systems can proceed in 2019. According to Mr Wuthichart, construction of the Red Line near Thung Song Hong station is about 70% complete, but the work is still behind schedule.
