The biggest problem with the media is that stupid democrat wingnutters will believe anything they are told.  What morons.

Blinders on, and dumb as rocks.

That's us Democrats, dumb as rocks, listening to what is being reported by every news outlet in the world except Breitbart. When will ever learn?

In other news today from the MSM Trump repeatedly asks, "Why can't we use nuclear weapons?"

This is the Dems method of holding voter registration drives before the election.

Woefully unfit, eh?  How about he doesn't do PC and is the Man for Change...as more and more folks are realizing:

If you say so. As far I am concerned, in general, they are about as reliable as the places you get your left wing talking points. However, they also have some excellent journalists like Chris Wallace, Brett Bait and a few others.

The very thought of Barack Hussein Obama deciding who is unfit to be president is laughable. His record of war, downgraded credit, 12,000,000 more people on food stamps, an unsustainable health care scam, drone attacks, secrecy, poverty, tepid economic growth and his disastrous foreign relations policy make him the very person NOT to listen to on such matters.

What's wrong with asking why we can't use nuclear weapons?

I couldn't agree more but I think he happens to be right in this case. It doesn't happen very often.

Here's Peggy Noonan, the Republican pundit, writing on Nov 5, 2012 about Romney's crowds.

Romney’s crowds are building—28,000 in Morrisville, Pa., last night; 30,000 in West Chester, Ohio, Friday It isn’t only a triumph of advance planning: People came, they got through security and waited for hours in the cold.

Please give my regards to President Romney. I can't find him on the planet I live on.

Actually, 2008 would be more relevant. Hillary Clinton got 20% more votes in 2008 when she LOST to Barack Obama than in 2016 when it took her until June to put down the deranged old socialist. She's going to have a turnout problem. Meanwhile Republican turnout is record high.

The Left Wing Media keeps pounding on Donald Trump to the extent the folks are getting turned off to it.  Hammering on the topic he is "Woefully Unfit" however they wish to define those words, it's beyond ludicrous.

To wit:

Currently on CNN's front page: 8 stories on Trump, but zip on Obama secretly sending Iran $400 million for hostages.

There you go again.  I just went to the CNN page. It was the 3rd story in the list. The second story was a good news story for Trump. Number one, alas, was CNN reporting on those left-wingers at Foxnews Polls giving Clinton a 10 point lead over Trump.

Listen to Obama! GDP 1%, the lowest since 1944! Obama started a non-mechanized car wash in Chicago (his only business experience) and it went out of business after severe losses. He unionized his 5 workers. Trump has built many high rises in

New York and an Ice Skating Rink that the Democrats tried to build in NYC. After 20 years of failure and 30 million dollars,

Trump took over the ice rink project and finished at cost of $1.5 million and in 12 months, under budget ahead of schedule,

Now Trump can do that for America with the 21 Trillion Debt Obama has left us!

Something for `Mericans to see.. and understand ... Maybe

America has lost its way because there are far too many who believe government is the solution rather than the problem, far too many who have traded their liberty for subsistence. As de Tocqueville once said, "The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money."

Yes, He might be very well so, but you sir, have wasted 8 years of the US's progress that will never come back again,

you were very presidential and eloquent like president with impeccable presentation and master orator,

but no substance, all talks, no action, and the only actions you ever took, soon will be rescinded or forgotten....

He has really shown his true colours and ruined his legacy in recently signing the DARK act that prevents Americans from knowing whether their is GMOs' in their food and his fast tracking of the TPP which will be a total disaster if he manages to push it through before his time is up. Hilary is no better as she is sponsored by Monsanto and other criminal organisations.

The only decent candidate was Bernie Sanders but rather foolishly they chose Clinton. Which 'devil' are you American's going to choose? I'm glad that I'm not a US citizen being slowly poisoned out of existence with junk food, pesticides, forced vaccines and frankenseeds!!

Make sure you enjoy your precious lives while you have them.

Well, if your Candidate for President doesn't think it an issue, what's the problem.

You need to get back to his agenda - slagging off the Khans and defending the exaggerated size of his hands. C'mon man, are there not any Breitbart pieces on these defining issues?

So much wrong with this post the it is difficult to know where to being.

Firstly, de Tocqueville never said what you claim. Here are 2 sources http://pollways.bangordailynews.com/2012/01/14/other/misquoting-tocqueville-disdaining-democracy/ and https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Alexis_de_Tocqueville

So what purpose is gained by creating the fiction that a historical character said these words. It is clealy designed to promote a certain kind of republicanism and economic philosophy that is contrary to liberalism. Anyone who actually has read de Tocqueville instead of trawling websites for fictitious quotes from history - the full text of 'On Democracy in America' is here https://www.marxists.org/reference/archive/de-tocqueville/democracy-america/ - will understand that he was enamored of the American concept of liberty, an idea that as a European subject to a feudal monarchic tradition he found fascinating. Many European countries were undergoing political reform in the 1840's and de Tocqueville's writings feed directly into this.

What else is wrong? Well the false quote is being used to prop up the old debt argument. So here we have another size queen whose hysterics seem to get more pronounced with every tick of the re-started national debt clock. For the financially illiterate, perhaps take a look at the long term yield of US Treasuries https://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/data-chart-center/interest-rates/Pages/TextView.aspx?data=yield as an indicator of what the markets think about the sustainability of US debt.

The graphic on debt levels is trite intellectual self-abuse.

I do wish the Trump supporters could somehow get a clue.

The US is slipping in several Dept's.    No one wants to talk about overpopulation, but it's happening in the US as it is in most countries ww.  When there are too many people, there aren't enough resources and funds to spread around.  The problem is exacerbated when a very few get nearly all the money.  It's worse when mechanization continues to take jobs away.

The US is producing less goods/items.  A large reason, and one which is not mentioned on the campaign trail, is the power of unions - to force wages and pensions up. Good jobs are becoming more scarce.  One of the few growth areas for jobs is nursing/health care, because of an aging and often sickly population.

Americans are generally unhealthy.  That's another taboo topic on the campaign trail.  Many are addicted to drugs, either pharma or street-bought.  Most are sickly overweight and undernourished.

Poor health can effect body and mind.  A well-proportioned healthy person is somewhat of a rarity in the US.

My point here is:  the US is on a downward slide, so regardless of who becomes prez, there are troubles looming.  It so happens a president like HRC will make the best of problematic situations.  With Trump as prez, the problems will exacerbate profoundly.  He's a walking talking disaster - at least one per week, and possibly daily, if the past week is any yardstick.

Obama is a career politician who has never worked in business to create wealth and jobs. I am sure Trump will build a team around him to balance the economy etc.

I spent decades as a business owner attempting to create some wealth for myself.  That experience did nothing to prepare me for a life in public service.  And it made me extremely wary of any and all business people, a profession whose members are often addicted to money and power no less than a junkie to heroin. And business people are not interested in creating jobs, they are interested in eliminating jobs to increase efficiencies and thus to increase personal profits.

Trump has extensive experience in using other people money to create unsuccessful businesses.  His only successes are in real estate, mostly inherited real estate, where the increase in value was a result of public investment of the local infrastructure.  Trump did nothing other than bring over a succession of Slovenian models for his pleasures a la Jabba the Hut.  His greatest contribution was helping to create the fictional name "Ivanna Humpalot".  His other non-real estate business ventures have largely been failures, but again using other people's money.  He has avoided personal loses through non-payment of contracts, bankruptcy proceedings, and as yet unknown tax avoidance strategies. We await his release of his tax return.  In the meantime please, please Baby Jesus, keep all business people out of government office.  As a society we are already suffering greatly from the manipulations of former Goldman-Sachs alumni in government.  Tim Geitner, former Bangkok high school student, was the devil incarnate.

And by the way, not sure what you mean by "balanced economy", but FYI, you can not grow an economy without debt.

Pinot, It's not clear whether the quote in your above post is someone else's words.

I've seen many of your prior posts, and I don't think you're an Obama basher, so you might want to attribute the quote to whomever, if that's the case.

He never said it.

  • This is a variant expression of a sentiment which is often attributed to Tocqueville or Alexander Fraser Tytler, but the earliest known occurrence is as an unsourced attribution to Tytler in "This is the Hard Core of Freedom" by Elmer T. Peterson in The Daily Oklahoman (9 December 1951): "A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy."
  • Variant: The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money.

While I tend to agree with most of your post, I do have a slight issue with overpopulation being an issue in the US. If you look at the population growth rate (year over year) it has actually been slowing since 2006 in not only the US but globally. In general it is thought that the US population will actually be stagnate in the near future and WW population stable around 2060. In Japan, they already have an issue with the population declining.
