I test drived Captiva, and current Trailblazer, Captiva drives okay, but Trailblazer was terrible with weak break, like you full break and its still going, and no power steering wheel assistance, very hard to turn it.

In a word. No. Only advantage is seeing them all under one roof and not having to travel between dealers. You can secure a few plastic extras and a cuddly toy if you are lucky.

plus lots of fit looking girls in evening gowns, I went to look at the motors.

That's the biggest problem, cos the fit girls attract hundreds of geeky camera nerds. Last time I went I struggled to fight my way past them to actually see the cars. Was also pretty disappointed with the sales staff too. Not much tech info or knowledge about options etc ( I read Thai so wasn't expecting English brochures either).  My wife bought a CRV at the motor show a few years back. No special deal but the dealer concerned had the model we wanted for immediate delivery whereas Pattaya, Chonburi and Rayong had nothing  in our colour choice for three Months.
