Rhys
Sorry Sages of Work Permits and other matters, I cannot find the thread. Just briefly, I posed a question turning 60 being forced to retire, and the school is working around and about this rule, in the new designation as working as a consultant... Plus the issue of work permit, and visa processing. As all of you confirmed NO Joy if you are over 60.. Some schools do not have an issue continuing a contract if you are over 60 and some do. Teach, Pass gas, in the name of the school, you need a work permit. Straight from the horse's orifice, the school's ADMIN and the Work Permit office's , Big ONE.. ( Office not to be named) The way it will be done is 3 month contracts, renewable. The school renews and pays visa and work permit every three month... thus avoiding the one year contact and keeping themselves kosher... No benefits, just the payment based on the days worked....awh...teaching. Some how, I still think this is not right. Still have my egress package on the ready. Comments, insights....All welcomed.
