Chonburi unveils new cultural attraction

CHONBURI, 9 September 2016 (NNT) – The seaside province of Chonburi is about to unveil a new tourist attraction as a treat for culture-oriented tourists.

The Chonburi Cultural Office and Khlong Tamru Sub-district Administrative Organization recently organized a press tour to the largest mangrove forest in Chonburi situated in Khlong Tamru Sub-district.

During the trip, participants were able to see indigenous animal life such as crab-eating macaques, and mud-skippers and enjoy a variety of seafood items. The program also covered other tourist spots, including Bunyarasi Temple, a salt farm, community occupational training centers, and a self-sufficient and eco-tourism village.

The activity was planned to introduce undiscovered attractions of Chonburi and stimulate the local economy through tourism, raise public awareness of cultural and environmental conservation as well as urging participation in sustainable tourism. The tour to the mangrove forest will debut for all visitors on 22nd September.
