webfact Posted September 14, 2016 Share Posted September 14, 2016 Doi Inthanon park in Chiang Mai closes two waterfalls for safety CHIANG MAI: -- Relentless rainfalls unleashed by tropical depression "Rai" last night forced national park officials in Chiang Mai to seal off two waterfalls at Doi Inthanon national park for safety reason. Doi Inthanon national park officials said today that they sealed off Mae Ya and Mae Klang waterfalls today and placed them under a 24-hour watch after the park was hit by flashflood following heavy rains last might. But other places in the park can still be visited as usual, except the two waterfalls where the water flow in the stream becoming stronger indicating possible flashfloods.
