Read into this what you will.

I have signed up to a thai dating website. I received lots of interest and messages but got fed up with too many conversations surrounding the conversation of money. One particular girl was looking for "true love" but also wanted 5,000,000 baht from a westerner for the entitlement to marry her. She had already been married to a Thai man and had children.

I changed my profile adding, "please do not talk or ask about money". Guess what? The interest in me has dropped by 95 percent.

I'm not making any judgements but what does this tell you?

I hear you......

It tells you that you have to learn to separate the money hungry ones from the ones that are not gold diggers.......until then, carry on enjoying their feminine presence with as many as you can ........if you know what I mean...lol

I do believe this. Is this not the case? I was planning a trip to thailand

It is not permitted to discuss the details of prostitution on this forum.

If you are intending to pay for companionship here, you need to look at the more liberal websites.

If you believe that Thai girls (non-professionals) are easy - you are in for a disappointing trip.

Actually, it's the same way the other way around too. A significant number of Thai women (yes, non-bar women, but not all of them) think that foreigners are easy, clueless targets. For money extraction purposes of course.

Funny that. And according to sin sod etiquette, if a woman has been married before, and especially if she has a child, her value on that market is greatly diminished. Perhaps you should make her aware of that, and offer her 100,000. She might be worth that, but probably no more. Maybe. LOL.

There are alot of dreamers here. The word has gotten around that there were some very, very dumb foreigners who came up with huge amounts of money. Stories of guys paying 5 million travel the nation fast. Some of these stories even make it into the Bangkok Post or the Nation! How is that for publicity? So, some of the women have their heads in the ionosphere when it comes to their own market value. Not a whole lot different than in the West, in that regard.

Fortunately there are still some good women who have a more sensible view of things. Those are the ones you are seeking. It is all about qualifiying, and making sure you are dealing with a good woman, with reasonable expectations, a reasonable degree of emotional development (not easy to find), and alot else to offer. They are out there. Lots of them.

I see you're still keeping it classy, marko.

I wouldn't mind your typically boorish and lascivious turn of phrase but for the fact that you always seem to inject large amounts of cash into these relationships and always end up regretting it.

Anyway define large amounts of cash,i have never injected what i could not worry about losing.

Oh really?

I think the fact that you had to go back to work for 6 months suggests otherwise especially when you reveled in claiming you "would never have to work again".

It's mainly due to the ridiculous rat race among many Thai single mothers and divorcees to get their Farang cash cow. They think it's easy to get foreigners to end up doing this. Now who's the "easy" person here.

Note that it was most likely not the Farang's own idea to do all this.
