LAMPANG: -- A tour bus from Bangkok bound for Chiang Mai overturned in the Thern area of Lampang this morning in dense fog.

Fourteen people were injured on the Wiriya Tour vehicle.

Driver Charoen Phonkrathok, 36, told police that he swerved to avoid a truck when dense fog descended and hit a power pole. The vehicle ended up in a roadside ditch.

The accident occurred between kilometer markers 606-607 on the Pahonyothin Road in Thernburi sub-district.

Never take a bus in Thailand at night. If possible never take a bus in Thailand. Trust a Thai bus driver with your life. Does he have a license? What class? What kind of training.  Excuse training, leave the scene training, drug and drink training! Pathetic.
