BANGKOK:-- A Thai man who police said was "obsessed with the occult" has jumped to his death from his 9th floor balcony in the Janit Sanitwong area of Bangkok Noi.

Police and medics found the body of Pornlert Sakhanawin, 52, on a second floor area. In his room on the ninth floor there was no sign of a struggle.

They found watch repair equipment, beer, thinner and a load of anti-depressants from two Bangkok hospitals in the dead man's name.

They also found a human skull covered in resin, books on the occult, magazines about fortune telling and horoscope charts.

A maid at the flats said he lived alone and was a watch repairman who sometimes worked at home. He had no wife but a daughter who lived elsewhere. He like to keep himself to himself.

Police accept he was suffering from a mental illness and most likely took his own life adding that he was clearly obsessed with matters of the occult.

The body was sent for autopsy and they are trying to trace his daughter.

Usually, belief in hocus pocus doesn't cause harm.  In this case it did.  Good thing he didn't drag others down with him.

hocus pocus = hoc est enim corpus meum = this is my body

Catholicism can do a lot of damage.

if people would read the warning on the inlay :  those anti depressants can MAKE YOU KILL YOURSELF

Hey if you want to take on " Big Pharma" I'm with you all the way. The doctors always say the good outweighs the bad so don't worry about all those warnings, as they collect their commission.
