Disasterously damaging to America's stature, leadership, and moral authority.

A day which will live in infamy and America will come to deeply regret almost immediately.

:cheesy: can't be any worst than it is now

There are real problems now in Scotland for the SNP.   They (Sturgeon and Salmond) fired him as a global ambassador for Scotland, were openly rude about him and publicly supported Clinton - and now he is the President of the USA and his mum is from the Isle of Lewis.

Not very smart were they?

Probably wanted free membership at one of Donald's primer golf clubs there and were turned down

It's a backlash against political correctness, as was Brexit. Good. It has become necessary to readjust values.

The guy's a bit of a loony, but there are checks and balances, and it's only for four years.

Hard to believe he won, but the Dems blew it by fielding such an unappealing candidate.

What checks and balances. His party controls it all now.

One of the best takeaways from Trumps historic win over Crooked Hillary:

"Senate control means Trump will have great leeway in appointing Supreme Court justices, which could mean a major change to the right that would last for decades"

Sure it's "great" for far right wing extremist BIGOTS.

What this means, and much more --

Abortion will be made illegal

Recognition of same sex marriages killed at federal level, probably allowed state by state, but almost worthless legally without federal recognition. People already married ... taken away.

Citizens United, corporate corruption personified ... KEPT

Minority voting rights ... degraded even more

Gun ownership rights ... beefed up even more, if that is even possible

Yeh, right enough - we'll be getting nuked in the morning. If he he gives us any crap we'll just repossess his golf courses and put the head on him.

Simple.

Common sense, in most cases. None of his outlandish policies will actually be enacted, and I doubt anybody expects them to be. It's all about a reajustment of values. And when power swings from one side to the other, as it is supposed to in an oscillating two-party system, that in itself shows the system is working.
