Apparently the bombers are not aware of the recently formed Committee to Mobilise Policy and Strategy to Solve Problems in the Southern Border Provinces' security and peace-promotion plans. Nor were they aware of the proven effectiveness (according to ISOC Region 4 Deputy Spokesperson Colonel Yuthanam Petchmuang) of the newly-formed the gas tank exchange program in preventing fatal explosions by insurgents.

Insurgents need to pay more attention  to the Thai millitary's efforts to curb their violence.
