PHETCHABUN: -- An 80 person strong raiding party continued its work in Phetchabun yesterday gathering evidence of encroachment on forest land in the Phu Thap Boek hillside area.

Police, soldiers and forestry officials raided three more properties yesterday but found no trace of the owners or investors in the resorts, reports Manager Online.

Targeted Thursday were Montorio Coffee Shop, Rai Phu Khao Fang and Rai Lung Hang.

Measurements were taken of all three properties but the only thing of real interest was that two houses on the Rai Lung Hang were being dismantled by workers.

The raids began on Wednesday targeting 11 resorts. Four more will be checked today, Friday.

Local authorities are preparing to knock down all the resorts in the disputed area.

Has there ever been a raid on any property for any reason where the accused has actually been home/present?

Might be the odd case where the owner was reading the news about the raid before hand and after leaving he returned to retrieve something he had forgotten to pack.

Just keep it up, Good work

Agreed.  It may be a pantomime but the right things are happening albeit "Thai style. "  Memo to.the General.  "Keep going Sir.  This is the start of what the "good people" of Thailand want to see.  You need one heck of a lot of this done and dusted before the election next year.  Arrests, and convictions are also sorely needed with meaningful sentences so that people can believe it is not just window dressing with "business as usual" resuming after it had all blown over.

Why do the "owners" have to be at home? Nail a notice on their door that the property will be demolished within 7 days. And then do it!

In the meantime check the land records for ownership AND check who signed the permits to build!
