Why a police general feels compel to insert himself into every high profile crime? is it to  be seen he's doing his job? as for the murderer, there're low life and there're the sum of the earth  who has no right to walk among us....

Although the murderer is a nasty, evil man, he is quite right about not fighting back when someone mugs you. This fighting back approach has been the cause of countless deaths worldwide.
When I go out I carry 2 wallets. One with old credit cards and 200 baht in and another with my new credit cards and about 2,000 in cash. In case I need it. Then if I'm robbed I give the wallet with 200 baht in to the thief. If it was my iPhone I would still hand it over. Not worth dieing for.

Death Penalty

No. In this case he would just get a lethal injection, and that's it. Game over.  Hard, dirty, boring and useless labor for the rest of his life, so he will get his time to regret. May he reach his 80ths with that one...

Wow, that is just about the worst appeal for clemency I've heard in a while...

No lack of remorse, and of course trying to shirk responsibility by saying that the innocent victim should not have thought back.

Classic Somchai Scum, best off being put down, as has no value to society.

Actually, classic psychopath based on his justifications.

When we say "Death penalty" we are actually making fun of what happened.  Really.

It's like me saying "kill him, his family, everyone he knows, and make it painful."

to really do something, talk to your government representative back in your home country and try to get sentences you think are right.

oh, too much work?

exactly my point

Why would I try to make changes in my home country?  I don't vote in those elections, and quite honestly I think someone with skin in the game in my home country (like perm residents) have more of an interest in the outcome of those elections....  not people that have left and are not properly informed on local issues.

Kittikorn Vikaha, 26, a resident of Srakaeo province, was arrested last night by police, one day after he robbed the victim, 25-year Wasin Luangjam, an airport ground staffer and a college student, as he walked out of a 7-Eleven convenience store on Soi  Sukonthasawat 27 in Lat Phrao district.

My missus told me about this story this morning. Said a guy tried to rob another guy for his phone. Said the guy getting robbed fought back so the robber stabbed him. She said the word 'accident'. I told my missus that this was absolutely no accident. If you don't wanna risk stabbing someone to death, then don't bring a knife.

As for him saying he wasn't on drugs, the mind boggles. Kill someone under the influence and you apparently have an excuse. Don't be under the influence and you can claim to be a good person really. Very scary mentality when you think you can always justify 'your' actions.

Why oh why? Isn't it on CCTV?

Just narcissistic officials wanting to get their faces in photos and on camera. Do your job and do it with integrity, for Christ's sake.

If ur iPhone is not worth dying for, why bother to carry 2 wallets?

I just hope the system takes a look at his past record and his statement "If the man had not fought back he would be alive today" This character is beyond redemption. Do the China on him out the back of the police station and a 10 cent bullet. Justice done its time Living on this planet should be a privilege not a right.

If I was that worried living here that I had to carry a dummy wallet wherever I went, I would leave. That would be time to pack up. It's not even foolproof because the thief may ask you to empty your pockets or search you.

I once had my cellphone snatched while talking on it, in the Philippines (before smartphone days) and ran after him into a back alley. Big mistake, there were some other guys there and one pulled out a gun. I was lucky. I told him to keep it and walked away.

Yeah, I agree - give them what they want and live another day is the best advice, but unfortunately it goes against basic instinct.
