Toosetinmyways
About Khun Nana. I have a biography of him somewhere. He was a Southern Thai Muslim. He owned all the land from soi 2 to Soi 12 and as far back as the Tobacco Monopoly. His rise to riches he put down to never selling any land. All the land was leased except the Nana Hotel land which he gave to his brother in law to build a hotel. The house next to the Nana Hotel whose grounds became the Bus Stop was lived in and owned by his sister. Regarding his house mentioned earlier on the other side of Sukhumvit, he said he would never change it, as it was the first real house he owned. There was a 1954 Morris Minor parked at the front also which never moved. His first car. Since he died there has obviously been changes to his business model.
