BANGKOK: -- An online football gambling den operating in a house in Nonthaburi was busted yesterday. The operation is believed to have had a monthly turnover of 30 million baht.

Three men including the boss of the operation were arrested after Rathanathibet cops arrived with a warrant.

Witchuporn Phuphaiboon, 35, admitted he was running the operation. Also arrested were Kriansak Photkantrong, 26, and Songphon Wongrabeudanganu, 28, reports Daily News.

Police found a lot of evidence in the house in Soi Phansamrit 16 on Tiwanon Road. This included computers and monitors, bank books, computer tablets, dice and cards. They also found a gun and ammunition.

Witchuporn said that the business had been going for two years and had a monthly turnover of about 30 million baht.

All the suspects were detained ahead of prosecution.

Funny how some can be implemented immediately, but some need contingency plans.

The fact that one of them so readily admitted to being the boss means only one thing. The real boss is sitting comfortably at home (or in his station, barracks, etc.).
