rooster59 Posted January 28, 2017 Share Posted January 28, 2017 Flooding in southern provinces claims 91 lives By THE SUNDAY NATION A total of 91 people died during the recent deluge in the South, with five provinces still facing a threat from floodwaters, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department said yesterday. Chatchai Promlert, the department’s director-general, said that since heavy rain hit the region in December, 1.8 million people in 12 provinces had been affected by severe flooding. As well as the 91 who lost their lives, four people were still missing.
