Seriously when is Pattaya ever going to eradicate these ladyboys????? Use section 444 and round up all these things and arrest them , fingerprint them, photographed them and then bar them from Pattaya and if they return, lock them up for 25 years in an isolated cell.Or else , use section 44 to  round them up and send them to all those human rights or activitists demanding rights for these up to  no good things and let these activistists take care of them in isolated areas.Foreigners such as farangs, middle-easterns and muslims using the services of these things need to be also arrested for encouraging these things to proliferate. Also close down ladyboy shows and  clubs like Tiffany;s etc.

You are a troll or gormless or both.

How does a 22 year old boy afford a $4000 necklace in a country with a $103 minimum wage per *month*?

Right. ?

There are several hundred thousand millionaires in Russia. Maybe daddy is one.

I can't think of any country in the world where I'd be prepared to walk around the streets at night wearing jewellery around my neck valued at ten times the average monthly salary of the population of that country.

Saudi Arabia.....

I wouldn't walk around the streets there period, especially at night, a good friend years ago was kidnapped and decapitated for doing just that. RIP Paul Johnson.

Yes I was there then too, and in Riyadh which had quite a few incidents.

But they weren't after gold necklaces......

Brunei then!

Oooh dear! It was just that kind of comment that only can originate from your twisted mind.

People normally read the news in general. Not especially when on holliday. Many people also keep up to date with what´s happening in places they plan to or are travelling to.
Basically means that most of the people in the world know that it´s not advicable to go with an expensive gold chain or necklace night time in Pattaya.

Now you know and understand that too. Thank you for letting me educate you once more.

Haha u don't even know what the word educates mean? Seems like u just  spend most of ur sad life in front of ur ageing laptop annoying people on here with ur worthless statements.

I think he forgot the " Bullet between eyes"........... ?

and to the other Responder

You can see LBs' working in other places. Lots of retail shops and restaurants employ them......and most are polite and helpful

I still find it difficult to understand why they "are" the way they "are"....but live and let live

As for these villains.....their frocks are just a disguise, much as the hooped shirt and eye mask was in yesteryear

One thing about education is about using full and real words when spelling and posting comment, but mabe you have a new laptop and are a hip guy.
See I knew more than you!

A serious question also stands. Why would people stop read news, just because they are on vacation. Is that some kind of absence from the real world?

Just a quick tot up, I've been to at least 31 countries around the world, including Pattaya 3 times, 1966, 1988 & 2008 (for the very last time) and if you think Pattaya is "not that unsafe" you don't read the news much obviously.

So from your post you visited Pattaya 3 times once every 20 years but you think that qualifies you to really know about the place. I have been coming to Thailand since 2000 and have a home in Banlamung area of Pattaya for over 10 years with my Thai wife and live in BKK, Pattaya and Rayong for last 4 years. Never had a problem in Pattaya but don't get drunk am aware of situations at all times. Only problem I ever had was passport stolen when visiting Chatuchak market in BKK 11 years ago.

No that doesn't qualify me to really know about the place, not that I ever said I really know about the place, but reading the news and talking to my Thai girlfriends & friends when I lived in Samui, Krabi, Koh Lanta and Ao Nang and travelling all over Thailand certainly helped. But then I bow to your superior knowledge, you've had no trouble there so all the news reports were wrong, OK whatever.

I don't have a lot of sympathy for anyone who openly wears that much "Bling Bling" in public.  You're a walking advertisement just screaming, "Rob Me!"
I wear a light silver necklace or small beads.  If someone wants those bad enough, I'll just give it to them.  Why ask for trouble?

I agree that's why Thailand is so brilliant - because it's so safe and crime free compared to The UK or Europe.  These sensational stories are nonsense and not a true reflection of the actuality of people's experience here.

Pattaya police have a vested interest in NOT catching the gold=snatchers. Go into the police station and check out the amount being worn by our Boys-in-Brown.

however they do have a vested interest in catching the snatchers only to  "snatch" the jewelry   out of the hands of the snatchers

We could turn Tiffany into a Gospel Hall. Close all go-go bars. Ban alcohol and tobacco.

Then to enjoy life we could eh, thinking, still thinking,

I'll get back to you.

Oh, nearly forgot, cars, ban them as well and go back to horseback.

Ah, just too add, only side saddle allowed but not on Sundays.

hmmm..not a bad idea!

It used to be so, the reality is however that today it's becoming remarkably similar to what's seen in the UK and Europe, not to the same scale but nevertheless Thailand can be dangerous and anyone who walks around wearing 6 baht of gold deserves to loose it,.
