surinteacher2016
We have offered a 1 yr contract to a new teacher and she wants to fly back home to change her visa to a non immig' B. Its been a few yrs since we've had to do this. What documentation should we prepare for her? Do the requirements differ depending on the location of the Thai consulate? thanks
ubonjoe
They vary from embassy to embassy or consulate to consulate. The basic requirement should be the same. You can find the general requirements here on the MFA website. http://www.mfa.go.th/main/en/services/4908/15388-Non-Immigrant-Visa-"B"-(for-Business-and.html " 2.4 Non-Immigrant Visa Category “B” (Teaching)" The most likely difference will be this one under 2.4. Quote - Police certificate verifying that applicant has no criminal record or equivalents or letter issued by authorised agencies in applicant’s country. (The requirement of the submission of such police certificate is optional. The applicant must submit it if consular officer requests he/she to do so. This requirement is effective as from May 2007) Some locations will not issue one without it.
