rooster59 Posted March 11, 2017 Share Posted March 11, 2017 Burma’s nationalist monk banned from delivering sermons Burma’s State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee on Thursday issued an order banning infamous nationalist Buddhist monk U Wirathu from delivering sermons across the country for one year starting from March 10 due to his religious hate speeches, The Irrawaddy Online reported on Saturday. The decision was made at a special meeting of the country’s 47 senior Buddhist monks representing the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee in Naypydaw. Can't believe they dare to do this (maybe they are more courageous over there in Myanmar now after they recently learned what can happen to shady monks in Thailand).
