Not just girls but females   Of course before then many Thai females had already dressed so as not to expose their breasts but in the less educated areas then it was still considered normal not to, until 1941 that is.

 

Having said that what is the problem? I remember going to Europe on beach holidays in the 1960's  and seeing all those lovely ladies bare breasted. What a turn on.  After 3 days and subsequently years after it become accepted, normal and nothing special so no more a turn on .

It was 50 in Vegas.  What a joke guys paying hundreds for 15 minutes.  But many guys here complain about a $5 lady drink which includes full interaction. Never understand the complaints. I for one am very happy to be here.

Well, $5.usd is about half a days wage in Thailand. So while you see it as a "complaint", others perceive it as a willingness to get ripped off, which FYI, many just don't have. We often ask said "places" colluding in said practice how much they pay their cleaners? How much did she earn harvesting rice up in her village? We get nothing but again referrals to how much a prostitute cost in the USA or England. God Bless You and OO.

Yes, that is true. I have seen a number of photos from before the "Westernization Edicts" which prohibited wearing of traditional dress.
Very sad effect on the culture overall, I think.  Imported prudery.
