snoop1130 Posted March 22, 2017 Share Posted March 22, 2017 Chedi in Nakhon Si Thammarat prove to be over 1,000 years The Phra Mahathat Chedi in Nakhon Si Thammarat will be nominated as Unesco’s world heritage site as the structure was proven to be over 1,000 years. Mr Arnat Bamrungwong, director of the 14th fine arts office in Nakhon Si Thammarat, said that eight pieces of evidences excavated from around Phra Mahathat Chedi had analysed and tested for the second time to determine the age of the chedi. The eight pieces of evidences were divided into three age groups – 1,000 years, 700 years and 500 years and subjected to carbon datings.
