I've a raised bed that grows shallots well and I'd like to try onion. Thanks for any replies in advance. PS I'm in North Chon Buri/Chachengsao border. CLW Posted March 31, 2017 Share Posted March 31, 2017 The thing with onions is they are day length sensitive plants and hardly won't reach the size as in western countries.Breeding companies have developed special varieties for tropical countries.In my home country I used to have pelletised seed for onion and leek which I think makes germination easier Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
