NAKHON SI THAMMARAT: -- It was smiles all round yesterday when two university students returned a bag containing 40,000 baht in cash and valuables to its rightful owner, Daily News reported.

Kanya Khumpitak or Nong Pheung and Sirinan Khaokhiaw or Nong Praew were working in the statistics department of the central town hall on work experience.

The students from Ratchaphat Nakjorn Sri Thammarat University dropped in to use the toilets on their way home on Friday and found the bag.

They took it to police who contacted the owner Pramin Chuaychert, 60, who works as a trader in the area.

She was very grateful and gave the fourth year students a reward for their honesty.

Decent values do exist in Thailand and the girls should be commended for their public spirited honesty. Please pass on to the police and the government who could learn from them.

This is an example of morals accepted and practiced, and a university organization with humble origins, showing the XXX how students know the difference.  Kudos to the school and the young women... They are not girls... they showed that with their behaviors.

Kudos..
