CHAINAT: -- A neighbor of a Chainat man who hanged himself said that he had seen his friend three days ago in front of his house.

He had greeted him but got no reply so thought nothing of it and went home, reported Thai Rath.

He was shocked to find out yesterday that his neighbor had hanged himself and been dead already at least ten days.

Chainat police and Ruam Katanyu medics went to the house in Ban Kluay sub-district yesterday where they found 62 year old Narin Worapho. He had hanged himself from the banisters of the two story property. He had used a blue curtain.

The corpse was blackened indicating advanced decomposition and medics said that he had died at least ten days prior.

On a desk nearby police found a note addressed to the man's younger brother Pricha (Uan) that asked for a simple cremation to be held. He thanked his brother in advance for following his wishes.

Cops called the brother and found out that the dead man used to teach maths at Chainat Pithayakhom School but had retired two years ago.

He had hoped to spend his retirement living with his mother but she had died just before he retired and this is thought to have made him very depressed leading to him ending his life.

A neighbor told Thai Rath that three or four days ago at 10pm they had seen Narin standing outside his house. He looked pale and sad.

He was greeted but gave no response, said the neighbor, who surmised that he must be upset about something and left him alone.

He was shocked to find out yesterday that he had killed himself and been dead ten days or more.

The neighbor rushed to apologize to the corpse to say sorry for not helping find him earlier.

Math killed him, that's for sure.

How does a corpse respond to apologize?

     RIP, teacher.Narin.

I'm no maths teacher, but if someone saw him 3-4 days ago, it's quite possible he died after that sighting.

Dead ten days in this heat? The smell must be horrific.

RIP sad math teacher. And go towards the light and stop hanging out on the Earth plane.

You shouldn't have written that. You really frightened me with your words " Earth plane."

Now he'll come back as a math treeghost who'll kill others with high numbers and logarithms.

I thought the same thing.  Meant to say he saw the dead neighbor's ghost.

Difficult to distinguish the body smell from Somtam.
