webfact Posted April 10, 2017 Share Posted April 10, 2017 Southern local train derails in Hat Yai HAT YAI: -- A southern rapid train derailed this morning shortly after it left Hat Yai railway station on its way to Sungai Kolok station. The train No 175 from Hat Yai to Sungai Kolok departed Hat Yai at 6.30 am with 200 passengers. But 10 minutes after leaving, the locomotive of the train derailed while it was near Namoung station. No passengers were injured from the train derailment. Hat Yai railway station late today sent another train to lift and tow it back, which will take several hours to finish. Good thing is that 'rapid' train doesn't mean much here otherwise this would be just another stage for regular carnage ... that much for high-speed ...
