You're correct S G.

 

Contention might have been the wrong description.

 

I was just focusing on what "You" might constitute in his quote.

 

Judging by his religion, was he referring to an ego bound, impermanent and conditioned manifestation called I, me, us, which humans attach to.

Or was it something else?

 

If it is impermanent and conditioned (Anatta: non-self", that there is no unchanging, permanent self, soul or essence in living beings), what remains to be?

 

 

"You,I, me", an important ingredient in the threads title "Why are you drawn to Buddhism".
